Aleksandras Aleksejevas

 

Aleksandras Aleksejevas is a sculptor and iconographer who lives and works in  London. He has been a member of the BAI since 2008. In 2018 he defended his  doctoral thesis on the bronze iconography of Russian Old Believers at the Prince’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts and now he is finishing his theological  studies at the St Sergius Orthodox Theological Institute in Paris.

Aleksandras works in several mediums, though his favourite is bronze and it is in this medium that he has chosen  to give a fresh voice to the ancient art of the bronze icon.
