Elaine P Spencer

I trained as a fine artist/painter and have attended Peter Murphy’s workshops since 2016. I wrote this icon (Mother of God of the Sign) during the lockdown although I was mainly working on drawings in this period. It is on a linden wood gesso panel and is based on  a version by Peter.

Iconography seems to me to be a very natural development of my faith and of my previous work and experiences as a painter, and I am committed to learning and improving as much as I can.
