I am a Romanian/Russian iconographer currently living in Fife, Scotland. I have a BA in Fine Arts from “George Enescu” University of Arts (Romania).
I mainly work on wood, but I have used other materials also. I have worked on large-scale iconographic projects in Romania, such as painting Orthodox churches in the northern part of the country.
Although I use modern materials also, I prefer traditional techniques such as bole gilding, painting with pigments or engraving ornaments on gold surfaces.
Since moving to the UK, I have also created some innovative icons representing Irish saints in Byzantine style.
